Audemars Piguet Unique Skeleton 'Dove Motif' White Gold 3ct Claw Set Bezel
This piece completely blew me away with the unique hand engraved dial layout of a dove motif in 18ct white gold on top of the skeleton movement.
-The bezel features 3ct of brilliant cut diamonds which completely pops in sunlight.
-The 19.5cm bracelet has a fantastic heavy basket weave design and micro adjustments on the clasp.
-The oval or ellipse case design is measured at 29mm x 32mm which in our opinion wears just perfectly…
-The movement is a manual wind skeleton calibre 2003SQ with some more information below:
‘In 1970, on the eve of the quartz crisis, Audemars Piguet decided to openwork this ultra-thin mechanism. For the occasion, the Manufacture chose bridges and plates in 14-carat gold. It took 5 years to complete the first 250 pieces. The operation demanded skill, know-how and patience: for the best artisans, this meant almost a week of work at the bench for a single movement. Success followed: more than 1,000 watches were produced in the 1970s, 400 in the following decade and 1,660 in the 1990s. In just over a quarter of a century, 3,460 Calibre 2003 blanks were purchased by Audemars Piguet for openworking.’
